Why watch online instead of downloading
Streaming saves time and storage. You don't wait for a 2GB file to finish before you know whether it's the right video. You can jump to any part with the seek bar, check the quality, and only download if you want to keep it. On a phone with little free space, that's a big difference. On a work or school computer, it means no files are left behind.
What the player supports
- Seeking: drag the progress bar to any point. The player only loads the part you're watching.
- Full screen: tap the full-screen icon, or rotate your phone.
- Picture-in-picture: on Chrome, Edge and Safari, keep the video floating while you use other tabs or apps.
- Speed control: most browsers let you play at 0.5x to 2x from the player menu.
- Every TeraBox domain: terabox.com, 1024terabox.com, teraboxapp.com, 4funbox, mirrobox, nephobox and more.
Best formats for online playback
MP4 videos with H.264 video and AAC audio play everywhere: Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac and most smart TVs. WebM plays in Chrome, Firefox and Edge. MKV, AVI and some HEVC (H.265) files may not play in a browser at all, because browsers don't include those codecs. If a file won't start, press Download and open it in VLC. Our TeraBox to MP4 tool page explains how to get a playable MP4.
Smoother playback tips
- Use Wi-Fi or a strong 4G/5G signal. HD needs a steady 5 Mbps or more.
- Pause for a few seconds to let the buffer fill before watching long videos.
- Close other tabs that are streaming or downloading.
- If the video stutters, refresh the page and paste the link again, which gets a fresh stream address.
- Turn off data saver or "lite mode" in your browser, which can reduce video quality.
Watch on a TV
On Android, open the video in Chrome and use Cast from the menu to send it to a Chromecast or Google TV. On iPhone, play the video and use AirPlay to an Apple TV or a compatible smart TV. On a laptop, connect an HDMI cable and play the video full screen. Many smart TV browsers can also open this page directly.
When the player isn't the right tool
If you need the file offline, for a flight or to edit it, use the TeraBox video downloader instead. If the share is a whole folder of episodes, the TeraBox folder downloader shows every file in one list so you can play them one by one.
Player troubleshooting in 30 seconds
- Spinning wheel that never stops: the stream address may have timed out. Paste the link again.
- Sound but no picture: the video codec isn't supported by your browser. Try Chrome or Edge, or download the file and play it in VLC.
- Picture but no sound: the audio may be AC3 or DTS, which browsers often can't play. VLC plays it fine.
- Video jumps back when seeking: wait a moment after dragging, because the player has to request the new part of the file.

Data use while streaming
As a rough guide, streaming 1080p uses about 1.5–3GB per hour and 720p uses about 0.7–1.5GB per hour. On a limited mobile plan, watch on Wi-Fi or pick a smaller file from the share if the uploader offers several versions.
