TeraBox links come in many shapes. You might get one that starts with terabox.com, another with 1024terabox.com and a third with something like teraboxlink.com or 4funbox.com. They all belong to the same service. This guide explains the different formats, why there are so many domains and how to fix a link that won't open.

The anatomy of a TeraBox link

A typical share link looks like this:

https://www.terabox.com/s/1AbCdEfGhIjK

Format 1: /s/ links

This is the most common format, created when you tap Share in the app. Examples:

Format 2: ?surl= links

Some links put the ID in a query parameter instead:

These usually appear when you open a share in a mobile browser and copy the address bar. Notice there's no leading 1 in the surl value. Both formats point to the same share, and our TeraBox link downloader understands both.

Why does TeraBox use so many domains?

Regional and historical reasons TeraBox was previously known as Dubox, and over time it has used several domains for different regions and app versions.

Availability Some networks or countries block certain domains. Mirror domains help keep shares reachable.

Marketing and short links Short domains like teraboxlink.com or terasharelink.com make sharing on social media easier.

Supported domains list

TeraBox Download recognises these domains, with or without www:

If you have a TeraBox link on a domain not listed here, let us know and we'll look into it.

Fixing broken links

Remove extra text Links copied from posts often include words or emoji before or after the URL. Make sure you paste only the part that starts with https://.

Check for cut-off links Some apps shorten long links with "…". Open the original message and copy the full link.

Remove tracking parameters Extra parameters such as &utm_source= don't usually cause problems, but if a link fails, try deleting everything after the share code.

Replace the domain If a link uses an unusual domain that doesn't work, you can often swap it for terabox.com while keeping the /s/ code. For example, https://example-mirror.com/s/1AbCdEf becomes https://www.terabox.com/s/1AbCdEf.

Expired shares If the owner deleted the files or set an expiry date, the share stops working on every domain. Ask the owner for a new link.

Beware of fake TeraBox links

Not every link that mentions TeraBox is real. Scam sites copy the look of TeraBox to steal passwords or push malware. A real share link uses one of the domains above. Never enter your password on a page you reached through a random link, and don't install APKs from unknown sites. Read more in Is TeraBox safe?.

Folder links vs file links

The format doesn't tell you whether a link contains one file or a folder. Paste it into the downloader to find out. Folders show a list of files; single files show one card. Read how to download a whole TeraBox folder for tips on big folders.

Summary

All TeraBox link formats, whether /s/ links, ?surl= links or mirror domains, lead to the same kind of public share. Paste any of them into TeraBox Download and we'll detect the format automatically. If a link fails, clean it up, check that it's complete, and make sure the share still exists.

How our tool reads a link, step by step

  1. It trims spaces and extra text around the URL.
  2. It checks that the domain is a known TeraBox domain or subdomain.
  3. It looks for a surl= parameter. If there is one, that's the share ID.
  4. Otherwise, it reads the part after /s/ and removes the leading 1.
  5. It asks TeraBox for the public file list of that share.

If any step fails, you'll see an "unsupported link" or "share not found" message, which tells you which part to check.

Examples of valid and invalid links

Valid - https://www.terabox.com/s/1AbCdEf - https://1024terabox.com/s/1AbCdEf - https://teraboxapp.com/sharing/link?surl=AbCdEf - https://www.terabox.app/wap/share/filelist?surl=AbCdEf

Invalid - terabox.com/s/ (no share code) - https://www.terabox.com/main?category=all (your private drive, not a share) - https://t.me/somechannel/123 (a Telegram post, not the TeraBox link itself) - A shortened link from an unknown URL shortener that doesn't lead to TeraBox.

Private drive links vs share links

When you're signed in to TeraBox, the address bar shows links to your own drive, such as /main or /disk. These only work for you while you're logged in. To give someone access, you must create a share link with the Share button. Downloaders, including ours, can only work with share links.

Short links and redirects

Some people pass TeraBox links through URL shorteners. Open the short link in your browser first. It will redirect to the real TeraBox address. Copy that final address and paste it into the TeraBox downloader. Be careful: shorteners can also hide scam sites, so check the final domain against the list above.

When a link format changes

TeraBox sometimes adds new domains or link styles. If you see a new format that doesn't work, send it to us and we'll add support. In the meantime, try replacing the domain with terabox.com and keeping the share code.

Expired vs invalid links

An invalid link is badly formed. An expired link was valid but no longer works. To tell them apart and fix each case, read TeraBox link expired: what it means.

Quick reference Remember: a valid share link always has a known TeraBox domain plus either /s/1… or surl=…. If you see both, the tool uses the surl value. Anything else, like drive links, Telegram post links or unknown shorteners, has to be converted to the real share link before it works.

More questions

Is 1024terabox.com the same as terabox.com?

Yes. 1024terabox.com is one of TeraBox's official domains. A share code works the same way on either domain.

What does surl mean in a TeraBox link?

surl stands for short URL. It's the unique ID of a share, used in links like ?surl=AbCdEf.

Why does my link start with dm.terabox.app?

Some app versions generate links on subdomains like dm.terabox.app. They're still TeraBox links, and our downloader supports them.

Try the tool: the TeraBox Link Converter page lets you do this right now in your browser, with no app and no login.
