Sometimes a TeraBox share isn't a single file but a whole folder: a set of class recordings, a family photo album or a project with dozens of files. This guide explains how to download files from a shared TeraBox folder, how to handle very large folders and how to keep everything organised.

How folder shares work

When the owner shares a folder, the link gives access to every file inside it, and sometimes to sub-folders too. When you paste a folder link into our TeraBox downloader, you see a list with each file's name, size and type. You can then stream or download each file individually.

Step-by-step: downloading files from a folder

  1. Copy the folder's share link.
  2. Paste it into TeraBox Download and press Download.
  3. Wait for the list of files to load.
  4. Look at the names and sizes to decide what you need.
  5. Press Download on each file you want, or Stream to preview videos first.

Planning a big download

Add up the sizes Before you start, add up the sizes of the files you want and check your free storage. A folder of 40 videos can easily exceed 20 GB.

Prioritise Download the most important files first. If something interrupts the download later, you'll already have what matters most.

Use Wi-Fi and power Large folders take time. Connect to Wi-Fi and plug in your charger.

Downloading many files on PC

Let the browser ask where to save In Chrome settings, turn on "Ask where to save each file before downloading". You can then create a folder with a clear name, like "Course – Week 3", and save every file there.

Download managers For dozens of files, a download manager helps you queue them and resume failed downloads. Copy each direct link from the results and add it to the manager. Remember that links are temporary, so don't wait hours before starting.

Downloading many files on a phone

Android Downloads go to the Download folder. After finishing, use the Files app to create a new folder and move the files into it so they don't get mixed with other downloads.

iPhone Safari saves to Files › Downloads. Create a folder in Files, select all the new files and move them. To put videos in Photos, select them and tap Share › Save Video.

What about ZIP downloads?

The official TeraBox app can sometimes pack a folder into a ZIP archive, but for very large folders this is often limited or unavailable to free users. Downloading files one by one through a browser is slower to click through but more reliable, because a single failed file doesn't ruin the whole archive.

Sub-folders

If a share contains sub-folders, the top-level list may show only the folders themselves. Ask the owner to share the specific sub-folder you need, or open it in the official TeraBox page and copy that sub-folder's link.

Keeping things organised

Respect the owner's rights

A shared folder is still the owner's content. Download only what you're allowed to use, don't re-upload it elsewhere without permission and don't share folders that contain other people's private files. If you're the owner of content that was shared without permission, see our DMCA page.

Troubleshooting folder downloads

The list is empty The share may have been deleted, or it may need an extraction code. Ask the owner.

Some files won't download TeraBox may limit direct links for some files temporarily. Try again later, or check our error guide.

Summary

To download a TeraBox folder, paste its link into TeraBox Download, review the file list and download what you need, one file at a time, on a good connection. Plan for size, stay organised and respect the owner's rights.

Example workflow: a course with 30 videos

Say a teacher shares a folder with 30 lecture videos of about 400 MB each, roughly 12 GB in total.

  1. Paste the folder link into the downloader and wait for the list.
  2. Check that you have at least 15 GB free.
  3. Create a folder on your device named after the course.
  4. Download videos 1–5, check that they play, then continue in batches of five.
  5. Rename each file with its lesson number if the names are unclear.
  6. Back up the folder to an external drive when you're done.

Batching like this keeps downloads stable and makes it easy to see which ones failed.

Downloading only certain file types

Big folders often mix videos, PDFs and images. Look at the extension tag on each result card (MP4, PDF, ZIP) and download only what you need. Notes and PDFs are small, so it often makes sense to grab them first.

When the folder changes

If the owner adds new files to the shared folder, paste the same link again later to see the updated list. You don't need a new link unless the owner cancels and re-creates the share.

Folder downloads on slow connections

On mobile data or slow Wi-Fi, stream the videos you want to watch soon and download only the ones you need offline. Our speed guide has more tips.

Converting downloaded videos

Most folder videos are already MP4. If some are MKV or won't play on your phone, see TeraBox to MP4 and TeraBox video not playing.

More questions

Can I download a TeraBox folder as one ZIP file?

Our tool lists the files individually. The official TeraBox app sometimes offers ZIP downloads, but for very large folders, downloading files one by one is more reliable.

Is there a limit on how many files I can download?

We don't set a limit. TeraBox may slow down or pause requests temporarily if you download a very large number of files quickly.

How do I download a sub-folder?

Ask the owner to share the sub-folder directly, or open the share in TeraBox, go into the sub-folder and copy its link.

Try the tool: the TeraBox Folder Downloader page lets you do this right now in your browser, with no app and no login.
