Phones are where most TeraBox links get opened: in WhatsApp, Telegram or a social app. Saving the file on mobile is easy once you know where each phone puts downloads. This guide covers both iPhone and Android.
Before you start
- Copy the full share link. Long-press the link and choose "Copy".
- Check that you have enough free storage. The file size appears on the result card before you download.
- Use Wi-Fi for large videos.
On Android
- Open Chrome (or Samsung Internet, Firefox, etc.) and go to teraboxdownload.com.
- Tap Paste, then Download.
- On the file card, tap Download. Chrome shows a progress notification.
- When it finishes, tap the notification or open the Files app and go to Downloads.
- Videos also appear in Google Photos under "Downloads" after a short time.
Tip: if Chrome opens the video in a player instead of saving it, tap the three-dot menu in the player and choose Download, or long-press the Download button and pick "Download link".
On iPhone and iPad
- Open Safari and go to teraboxdownload.com.
- Paste the link and tap Download.
- On the file card, tap Download. Safari may ask "Do you want to download…?" Tap Download.
- Tap the download arrow in the address bar to watch progress.
- Open the Files app, then Browse › Downloads (On My iPhone or iCloud Drive).
- To move a video into Photos, open it in Files, tap Share and choose Save Video.
Tip: if Safari plays the video instead of downloading, press and hold the Download button and choose "Download Linked File".
Watching without saving
If you only want to watch once, tap Stream instead. The video plays in the browser and nothing is saved. Read more in how to stream TeraBox videos online.
Unsupported formats
iPhones play MP4 and MOV easily, but not MKV. Android handles more formats but not all. If a video won't open, install the free VLC app and open the file there.
Saving storage
- Stream instead of downloading when you only need to watch once.
- Delete large videos from Downloads after moving them to a computer or another cloud.
- On iPhone, check Settings › General › iPhone Storage to see what is using space.
Troubleshooting on mobile
- Download stops when the screen locks: keep the browser open, or plug in the phone for large files.
- Button does nothing: update the browser, or turn off content blockers for the site.
- Link error: see How to fix TeraBox download errors.
Do I need the TeraBox app?
No. For public shares, the browser is enough, and you avoid signing in or installing another app. Our guide on downloading without the app explains why.
Summary
On Android, files land in Files › Downloads; on iPhone, in Files › Downloads, and you can save videos to Photos from there. Paste the link into TeraBox Download, tap Download, and you're done.
Detailed Android walkthrough
Where downloads go Chrome on Android saves files to the Download folder in internal storage. Open the Files app (or "My Files" on Samsung), tap Downloads and you'll find your file. Videos will also show up in Google Photos under "Library › Download" after a short while.
Downloading several files Downloads in Chrome run in parallel, so you can start a few at once from a folder link. On slower connections it's better to download one at a time, because parallel downloads share the same bandwidth.
Using a download manager If a large download keeps failing, an Android download manager app that supports resuming can help. Long-press the download button, copy the link and paste it into the manager. Direct links can expire, so do this soon after generating them.
Detailed iPhone walkthrough
Where Safari saves files Safari saves to Files › On My iPhone › Downloads by default. You can change this in Settings › Apps › Safari › Downloads, for example to iCloud Drive.
Moving a video to Photos Open the Files app, find the video, tap Share, then choose "Save Video". It will appear in your Photos library and you can delete the copy in Files to save space.
Big files on iPhone iOS may pause downloads if you leave Safari for a long time. Keep Safari open with the screen on for very large files, and plug in your charger.
Tablets and Chromebooks
The same steps work on iPads, Android tablets and Chromebooks. On a Chromebook, files go to the Downloads folder in the Files app. A larger screen makes it easier to browse big folders.
Mobile data tips
- Check the file size before you download.
- Use Stream to preview instead of downloading everything.
- Turn on data saver in your browser only if you aren't streaming video, since it can lower quality.

Comparison: browser vs app on mobile
Using the browser - Nothing to install, so no extra storage or permissions. - Works with any public link right away. - Downloads are managed by Chrome or Safari, which you already know.
Using the official app - Best for your own TeraBox storage and automatic backups. - Needs an account and sign-in. - Shows more ads and upgrade prompts on the free plan.
For links that other people share with you, the browser is usually the faster choice. If a video won't play after you download it, see TeraBox video not playing.
One last tip If your phone runs out of space in the middle of a download, the file is usually discarded. Free up space first by clearing old downloads and videos you've already watched.
