If you want to send someone a file from TeraBox, you need a share link. Searches like "how to get TeraBox link" show that many people aren't sure where the share option is or what the different settings mean. This guide walks you through creating a TeraBox link on Android, iPhone, PC and the web, choosing expiry and password options, and making sure the person receiving it can open it.

What is a TeraBox share link?

A share link is a URL that points to one or more files in your TeraBox storage. Anyone with the link can see and download the shared files, unless you add a password. The link usually looks like terabox.com/s/1AbCdEf..., though you may also see 1024terabox.com or teraboxapp.com domains. Our link formats guide explains every variation.

Sharing doesn't move or copy your files. It just gives others access to view and download them.

How to get a TeraBox link on Android

  1. Open the TeraBox app and sign in.
  2. Find the file or folder you want to share.
  3. Long-press it to select it. You can select several files.
  4. Tap Share at the bottom.
  5. Choose Copy link, or pick an app like WhatsApp or Telegram to send it directly.
  6. If you're asked, choose how long the link should be valid and whether it needs a password.

How to get a TeraBox link on iPhone

  1. Open the TeraBox app.
  2. Tap Select or long-press the file.
  3. Tap the Share icon.
  4. Choose Copy Link and set the expiry if you want.
  5. Paste the link in Messages, WhatsApp, email or anywhere else.

How to get a TeraBox link on PC or the web

  1. Go to terabox.com and sign in, or open the desktop app.
  2. Hover over the file or folder and click the share icon, or right-click and choose Share.
  3. In the share window, choose the validity period and the access option.
  4. Click Create link, then Copy link.

On the web you can also manage all your shares from the Shared or My Shares section. From there you can cancel a link later.

Choosing share settings

Validity period

TeraBox usually offers options such as 1 day, 7 days, 30 days or permanent. Short periods are safer for private files. Permanent links are handy for public resources you want people to find later. Expired links stop working completely. See TeraBox link expired for what the recipient sees.

Password (extraction code)

You can add a short code that the recipient has to enter. Send the code separately from the link, for example the link by email and the code by message. That way, anyone who finds the link alone can't open the files.

Sharing a folder vs files

Sharing a folder lets people see everything inside, including files you add later. Sharing selected files gives exact control. For large collections, a folder is easier. Recipients can follow our download TeraBox folder guide.

How to get the link someone shared with you

Sometimes "how to get TeraBox link" means finding a link you were sent. Check:

Once you have it, paste it into TeraBox Download to view and download the files without the app.

Make sure your link works

Before sending a link, test it:

  1. Copy the link.
  2. Open a private or incognito browser window.
  3. Paste it into teraboxdownload.com and check that the files show up.

If the files show up, the recipient will see them too. If nothing appears, check whether the share was created correctly or whether a password is required.

Tips for sharing large videos

Sharing responsibly

Only share files you own or have permission to share. Don't share copyrighted movies, paid courses or private photos of other people. TeraBox can remove shares and suspend accounts that break its rules. Our share TeraBox files safely guide covers privacy and security in more depth.

How to stop sharing

If you change your mind, open My Shares on the web or in the app, select the link and choose Cancel share. The link stops working right away, even for people who already have it. Files they already downloaded stay on their devices, so think before you share.

Sharing a link to many people at once

If you're sending the same files to a class, team or family group, post one link in the group chat instead of sending files one by one. Everyone gets the same up-to-date version, and you save your phone's data. Pin the message so newcomers can find it. If you add a password, share it in the same group, but not in public places like social media comments.

Short links and QR codes

TeraBox links are long and hard to type. For printed material or presentations, turn the link into a QR code with any trusted QR generator. People scan it with their camera and open the share right away. Avoid unknown URL shorteners, because they hide where a link goes and some add ads or tracking.

Frequently asked questions

Why can't I find the share button?

Make sure you're signed in and have selected the file first. In some app versions, the share option is under the three-dot menu.

Can I get a TeraBox link without an account?

No. To create a link, you need an account with the files in your storage. To open someone else's link, you don't need an account.

Do TeraBox links expire?

Only if you choose an expiry period. Permanent links stay active until you cancel them or delete the files.

Can I change the password of an existing link?

Usually you need to cancel the share and create a new one with a new code.
