Published October 30, 2026 · By Hamza Moujahid · 4 min read

You'll often see "TeraBox 1024", "TeraBox 1024GB" or "1024terabox" in searches, app stores and links. The number refers to TeraBox's main selling point: 1024GB, or 1TB, of free cloud storage. It also shows up in the 1024terabox.com domain used in many share links. This guide explains what the free 1024GB plan includes, its limits, how 1024terabox links work, and how to download them.

What does TeraBox 1024GB mean?

TeraBox offers new users 1024GB of free cloud storage. That's 1TB, much more than most free plans from other providers. Google Drive gives 15GB for free, for comparison. For many people, the 1TB free plan is why they choose TeraBox. Our TeraBox vs Google Drive guide compares the two in detail.

The app is sometimes listed as "TeraBox: Cloud Storage 1024GB" or similar in app stores. That's simply the official app's marketing name, not a separate product.

What's included in the free 1024GB plan?

1TB of storage for photos, videos, documents and other files.
Automatic photo and video backup from your phone.
Share links for files and folders.
Online video playback, with some quality limits.
Access from Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac and the web.

Limits of the free plan

The free plan is generous, but it has trade-offs:

Ads. The free app and website show ads.
Speed. Download speed can be limited compared with Premium. See TeraBox download slow fix.
File size. Single uploads have a size limit on the free plan.
Video quality. Online playback may be limited to lower resolutions.
Inactivity. TeraBox's terms let it remove data from accounts that stay inactive for a long time, so log in from time to time and keep backups of anything important.

Always keep a second copy of important files somewhere else. Free cloud storage isn't a backup on its own.

What is 1024terabox.com?

1024terabox.com is one of the official domains TeraBox uses for share links. A link like 1024terabox.com/s/1AbCd... works the same as terabox.com/s/1AbCd.... Both open the same share. TeraBox has used several domains over time, including teraboxapp.com and others. Our TeraBox link formats explained guide lists them and shows how to spot fake lookalike domains.

What is the "TeraBox 1024 APK"?

Searches for "TeraBox 1024 APK" usually mean the official Android app. The safest source is Google Play, or TeraBox's official website. Avoid APK sites that offer "1024GB premium unlocked" or "mod" versions. They can contain malware and get your account banned. Our TeraBox APK for Android guide explains how to install it safely.

How to get the most out of 1TB

Turn on backup for your camera roll so photos are saved automatically.
Organize with folders like Photos, Work and Videos. It makes sharing easier.
Use share links instead of attachments for big files. See how to get a TeraBox link.
Clear out duplicates from time to time to keep things easy to find.
Protect your account with a strong password and two-step verification if available.

Is the free 1024GB plan safe for private files?

TeraBox is a legitimate service, but you should still think about what you store there. For very sensitive documents, consider encrypting files before uploading. Our is TeraBox safe guide covers privacy and security in detail.

Free plan vs Premium

Premium removes ads, increases download speed, raises file-size limits and unlocks higher video quality. If you only open links occasionally, the free plan plus a browser downloader is usually enough. If you upload and download large files every day, Premium may be worth it. Avoid "free premium" offers from unofficial sites, since they are almost always scams.

How much is 1TB in practice?

1024GB is a lot of space. As a rough guide, it can hold:

About 250,000 phone photos at 4MB each.
About 500 hours of HD video, depending on quality.
Millions of documents and PDFs.
Full backups of several phones.

Most people never fill it. That's why the free plan suits students, families and small teams who need space for shared videos and photos.

Uploading to your 1024GB storage

On a phone, open the app, tap the + or upload button and choose photos, videos or files. On PC, drag files into the web page or desktop app. Large uploads go faster on Wi-Fi, and keeping the app open helps prevent interruptions. Once files are uploaded, you can share them with a link, as shown in how to get a TeraBox link, and recipients can open them with TeraBox Download without an account.
